Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our mental health team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by providing  providing family, individual and group therapy, conducting psychological testing and evaluation of patients and monitoring treatment-planning efforts.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  

1. Provide counseling and direct services as needed. 

  • Conduct psychological testing and evaluation
  • Design individualized care plans, using a variety of treatments: Utilize appropriate therapy format based on patient assessment and need 
  • Analyze and evaluate patient data or test findings to diagnose nature or extent of mental disorder
  • Prescribe, direct, or administer psychotherapeutic treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
  • Monitor treatment-planning efforts
  • Perform required documentation of patient records in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain assigned caseload

2. Support the organization mission and strategic vision.  

  • Shares expertise and information with colleagues

  • Submits recommendations that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of behavioral health services
  • Demonstrates cultural competency and commitment to patients

3. Adhere to privacy and confidentiality requirements.

  • Maintain client privacy and confidentiality; Does not share client information without written informed consent from the client-guardian or parent per Wisconsin state administrative code or in compliance with court order
  • Reports violations of ethical behavior 

4. Other duties as assigned.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including external partners; Address referrals from providers
  • Prepare and submit case reports or summaries to government or mental health agencies when needed or requested

Requirements

 Education & Licensure: 

  • Master’s degree in psychology, PhD preferred
  • Current licensed Psychologist with Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services


Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years post-licensure experience

  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction and manage multiple demands and priorities
