Position Summary:
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Vice President of Community Living to lead and oversee all residential programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is responsible for strategic planning, operational leadership, regulatory compliance, team development, and ensuring high-quality, person-centered services across residential programs. The Vice President of Community Living partners closely with executive leadership to support growth, strengthen operations, and ensure services align with the organization’s mission and values.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for all residential services, ensuring programs remain person-centered, safe, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop and enhance programs that support independence, community integration, and quality of life for individuals served.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, accreditation requirements, and quality assurance standards.
- Lead audits, inspections, incident reviews, and corrective action planning.
- Oversee recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management for residential leadership and support teams.
- Build and maintain employee development programs focused on best practices, trauma-informed care, and leadership growth.
- Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify operational efficiencies.
- Partner with finance and executive leadership on budgeting, reporting, and long-term growth strategies.
- Build strong relationships with individuals served, families, guardians, community partners, and funding agencies.
- Represent the organization in community partnerships, advocacy initiatives, conferences, and professional organizations.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives related to residential program growth, expansion, and innovation.
- Serve on-call for safety and risk-related matters within the division.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7–10 years of experience managing residential services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- At least 5 years of senior leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements for residential services.
- Proven leadership experience building and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong financial management and strategic planning experience.
- Experience in healthcare or ABA services strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
