The Jordan-Young Institute is a prominent multi-sub-specialty orthopedic and spine private practice in Virginia Beach, Virginia seeking a full-time Radiologic Technologist. We are a high-volume practice committed to serving our patients with excellent customer service. We are looking for an experienced, highly organized, Radiologic Technologist. Services include orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, physiatry, and physical therapy.

The ability to multi-task is critical for success in the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Explaining the procedure to the patient
  • Positioning the patient properly
  • Positioning radiation protection devices such as lead shields.
  • Setting x-ray equipment at the correct angle and height over the appropriate area of a patient's body
  • Setting controls on the x-ray machine to produce x-rays or radiographs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast.
  • Following physicians' orders precisely
  • Keeping patient records and adjusting/maintaining equipment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience conducting X-Rays.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, regulations, and medical office procedures
  • Licensed in the state of Virginia.
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Patience and discretion
  • Organizational and multitasking skills
