The International Fulfillment Lead serves as a hands-on, dependable problem-solver who champions the end-to-end fulfillment process for retail and wholesale partner orders. In this role, you will lead daily warehouse activities—including picking, packing, palletizing, and documentation—with a strict emphasis on maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Ultimately, you will be responsible for guiding and motivating the shipping team to ensure that all internal and external operations run smoothly to deliver an excellent customer experience. 


Location: Caine Warehouse in Reeseville, WI 


This role will be for split shift:  Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Overtime and weekend work may be required.


What You'll Do:


The International Fulfillment Lead champions picking, packing, palletizing, and documenting orders placed by our retail and wholesale partners with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency. The International Fulfillment Lead is a dependable problem-solver, responsible for leading the activities required to safely and effectively fulfill orders to deliver an excellent customer experience.  


 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team within the Shipping Department fulfilling orders placed by international and wholesale partners such as Robotshop and Chewy
  • Picks, packs, and palletizes orders in a manner that meets the standards of our partners, customs, and international freight organizations
  • Takes ownership of and pride in fulfilling all orders thoroughly, accurately, and timely
  • Ensures that all internal and external paperwork is processed in an accurate, timely manner
  • Coordinates activities with the Distribution/Warehouse Supervisor, Planning and Expediting Team, and Distribution Leads
  • Fills in for Distribution Leads as needed
  • Evaluate the department plans and goals, ensuring that associates are set up accordingly
  • Prepare, plan, and carry out work schedules, rotations, and line-ups as well as  assign associates to the necessary tasks/areas, ensuring continuous and efficient productivity
  • Effectively communicate with other departments to ensure that objectives are achieved
  • Assists in the training of new associates to established methods to ensure standardized processes are followed
  • Assist in quality-driven tasks such as identification, disposition, and recording of non-conforming materials and scrap
  • Perform recordkeeping tasks as necessary
    • Examples include complete scrap reporting, communicate limited run notes to the appropriate groups, and report production on a daily or otherwise instructed basis
    • Perform quality audits as dictated by Whisker standards (e.g. once every two hours)
  • Report safety, behavioral, and/or performance-related issues and occurrences to the Supervisor, HR, and appropriate levels of management as early as practical, always within the day they occur; document observations within one business day
  • Facilitate concise and clear communication with the associates to aid in associate buy-in
  • Analyze bottlenecks and aid in the cross-functional investigations that should lead to the elimination of ineffective processes
  • Work alongside the Supervisor to facilitate a smoothly run shift wherein department objectives are met
  • Understand the appropriate use of email and electronic communications and utilize them according to policy
  • Effectively communicate needs and issues with appropriate parties as they arise
  • Acknowledge that the requirements are evolving and subject to change allowing for accommodation of Whisker’s growth
  • Adheres to and supports all internal and OSHA-mandated safety standards, including the safe utilization of manual and powered material handling equipment
  • Loads tractor-trailers and other vehicles
  • Participates in inventory cycle counting activities
  • Engages in 5S ("Sort", "Set In order", "Shine", "Standardize" and "Sustain”) activities
  • Performs additional responsibilities when required

Requirements and Qualifications


What you'll bring:

  • Leadership experience is preferred
  • Shipping and Warehouse experience preferred
  • Must get certified to operate all power equipment within 60 days
  • Experience in a Shipping Department is preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial
  • Exposure to G-Mail, Google Sheets, Docs, and Calendar is helpful
  • Must have a positive attitude 
  • Must be an efficient worker that is organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be eager to learn different areas of the company 
  • Ability to create and promote a safe and healthy work environment
