Methods Machine Tools was established in 1958 with three employees and a handful of refurbished machines. Since then, the company has become one of the largest privately owned machine tool importers in North America.

Job Summary: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures efficient inventory management, material handling, and order fulfillment while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity. The Warehouse Manager will lead warehouse staff, implement best practices, and collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping/receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and products.
  • Develop, implement and maintain warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee and manage the safe loading, unloading, movement, and staging of machinery and equipment weighing up to approximately 30,000 lbs.
  • Inspect and use overhead cranes, hoists, slings, chains, spreader bars, and other rigging equipment in accordance with safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Select proper rigging methods and verify load balance, attachment points, and load security before movement.
  • Oversee the pre-use inspections and maintenance of cranes, rigging gear, forklifts, and related material handling equipment; report defects or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Maintain lockout, PPE, signaling, and crane safety procedures to protect personnel, equipment, and property, per OSHA standards
  • Maintain organized staging areas and accurate records related to equipment movement, receiving, and shipment preparation.
  • Coordinate in-house and offsite trade shows
  • Manage inventory management by conducting cycle counts. 
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies, damage, or safety concerns involving incoming, outgoing, or internally moved equipment.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and organization to maximize space utilization and operational flow.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure timely movement of materials.
  • Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) for accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Identify process improvements to reduce waste, minimize costs, and enhance productivity.
  • Handle escalated warehouse issues, such as inventory discrepancies or damaged goods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate and train staff on warehouse equipment.

  • Occasional local travel


Physical Requirements: 

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing throughout the shift.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and assist with the movement of significantly heavier loads using proper equipment.
  • Ability to work in warehouse and shop environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment.
  • Must wear and adhere to all required PPE and safety guidelines at all times.
