Brief Job Description
The Club at Mediterra, a multiple award-winning private club located in Naples, Florida, has an opening for a Part-time Locker Room & Cart Attendant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will perform functions in two sub-departments.
The Locker Room Attendant will welcome and assist all members and guests while providing friendly, professional service.
The Cart Attendant will assist in the daily golf operations to include greeting members and guests, loading, storing, and staging golf bags.
The Person We are Looking for Will
- Be customer service oriented and use name recognition with both members and guests.
- Performs all tasks pertaining to a private member locker room including shoe care, continental breakfast, and housekeeping duties.
- Maintains exceptional levels of cleanliness in locker areas, restrooms, and work area.
- Performs all facets of shoe care, including but not limited to cleaning, buffing, polishing, edging, spike replacement and storage of shoes.
- Set up and operate the continental breakfast service from 7:00 to 11:30am
- Assists in clerical duties regarding our car wash and dry-cleaning services.
- Maintains par levels of amenities.
- Assist with golf cart fleet management to include proper cleaning, charging and maintenance practices
- Store golf bags in the correct bag stall in the bag room
- Load golf bags onto golf carts for daily play or tournaments
- Stage golf carts in the golf staging area in an organized manner
- At bag drop, greet Members & Guests, retrieve bags from arriving cars and stage golf clubs on carts
- Assist starters and rangers with on course assistance as requested
- Record all cart numbers on the tee sheet to corresponding tee times
- Oversee the daily maintenance of the practice facility that is focused on a high level of detail, organization, cleanliness, and presentation
- Manage setup and breakdown of the practice tee lines and short game practice areas (bag stands, alignment boards, club cleaners, towels, benches, yardage devices, practice balls, tees, and other supplies) as detailed in the SOP manual to ensure a positive experience for all golfers
- Continual upkeep of practice tee amenities and setup, as well as the chipping and putting greens
- Operate the motorized ball picking unit and hand pick all range balls in effort to maintain par levels in the range baskets; adhere to the Golf Maintenance Schedule
- Perform scheduled and routine maintenance of the range picking cart, utility vehicle and ball picking unit with assistance of mechanic and club facility staff
- Communicate all issues to golf management staff regarding Member/Guest concerns
- Report on any malfunctioning work equipment
- Maintain appropriate levels of critical golf supplies (tees, pencils, scorecards, towels, etc.)
- Study the tournament/event calendar to be able to communicate details with Members/Guests
- Assist with and complete all opening and closing procedures and perform other related duties as determined by management staff
What We Would Like You to Have
- Valid State issued Driver’s License
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds
- Team members will primarily work no more than 25 hours per week. However, based on required service levels, these hours could be more.
- Candidates must be available to work both Saturday and Sundays, including holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbally/written) in English.
