About the Role:

The Tools Administrator will support the Agency’s shared enterprise environment by managing and optimizing critical cross-cloud platforms that enable monitoring, collaboration, and secure service delivery. This includes systems such as Datadog, Splunk, Jira, Nexus, Tenable, and Confluence. You will ensure these platforms operate as reliable, scalable shared services by maintaining integrations, configuring secure RBAC and SSO, optimizing ingestion pipelines, and supporting dashboards and alerts used across the organization. Through consistent administration practices and ongoing improvements in observability and collaboration tooling, the Tools Administrator strengthens the operational foundation that supports modernization, transparency, and enterprise-wide service reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support shared enterprise tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Jira, and Confluence across cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
  • Maintain tool performance, integrations, user access, and dashboards.
  • Support continuous improvements in observability, collaboration, and secure operations.
  • Manage dashboards, alerts, and reporting across observability and collaboration tools
  • Configure, maintain, and audit RBAC and SSO integrations
  • Maintain and optimize tool-to-tool and cloud service integrations
  • Support ingestion pipelines, data flows, and index/storage optimization
  • Ensure tool reliability, stability, and alignment with governance requirements
  • Provide customer-focused support and clear communication with stakeholders

Required Professional Skills:

  • Proven experience administering one or more enterprise tools (Datadog, Splunk, Jira, Confluence, or similar)
  • Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure environments
  • Experience managing RBAC, SSO, or identity integrations
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills

Preferred Professional Skills:

  • Experience in observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch)
  • Experience supporting cross-cloud or hybrid environments
  • Knowledge of data ingestion, pipelines, or log management
