Job Summary:
The Manager is responsible for overseeing the clerical and clinical functions of the designated clinics or other
assigned departments. Responsibilities include maintaining effective communication with providers, staff and
administration; ensuring compliance with established standards, practices and regulatory requirements;
oversees billing and collections for the practice; managing the clinical functions, managing physician and staff
schedules; maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction; monitor and control inventory; performing and
delegating clerical work.
Essential Functions:
- Assist the designated Director of Medical Group Operations with management issues, including, but not limited to; provider and employee staffing and work assignments; orientation and/or training of employees; implementation of clinic policy, procedures, and process; fulfillment of managed care requirements; financial reporting; maintenance of facilities and equipment; customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that stock levels are adequate and orders are placed on time.
- Provide assistance, guidance, and direction to visitors and patients, in person and over the phone, to yield a high level of customer satisfaction. Monitors patient flow through reception and works with team to minimize waits and delays. Accepts customer complaints, solves problems, or refers when necessary.
- Responsible for several key-billing aspects which may include but is not limited to entry/verification of patient demographics, charge entry, charge adjustments, collection at the time of service, and cash management.
- Assist with several tasks related to the paper/data flow through office. This aspect may include but is not limited to; working with incoming mail; proper release of medical records; initiating correspondence; phone messages, billing requests, and reports; assures that key components of the records are in place.
- Assist with direction and supervision of nursing services in the assigned clinics.
- Compile/analyze data, prepare/present statistical information on department performance, productivity, activity, and budget.
- Assist with selecting, orientation, training, monitoring and evaluation of staff.
- Demonstrate support for/participate in accomplishing team goals and objectives.
- Attend required meetings and participate in seminars.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives assigned by senior leadership.
- Other roles and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred). *Experience with Cerner/Oracle Health Community Works or Millenium a plus
- 4 years of experience at a healthcare facility/clinic working as a Medical Assistant, Medical Office Clerk, or similar role. (preferred).
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations.
- Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary Description
$58,760 - $82,000 per year-Depending on Experience
