Shift Availability for Assistant Farm Manager:
- Full-Time Monday-Friday
- Dayshift
- Rate of pay $20 per hour/depending on experience

Responsibilities of Assistant Farm Manager:
· Assist with development computerized tracking system to ensure high quality production of plants grown in the hydroponics and crop systems, poultry, and livestock maintenance.
· Work with the Farm Manager and community partners (ex. Central Pennsylvania Food Bank) to develop crop planning and field production. High tunnel production.
· Assistant in implantation of volunteer programs in coordination with Volunteer Coordinator for Pleasant View residents, One Life Ministries, and community volunteers to manage operating costs.
· Assist in scheduling, educating, and managing volunteers, defining tasks, procedures, ensure safety and benchmarks for quality (ex. seeding; monitoring of plant growth, feeding, harvesting and delivery, cleaning and sanitization, etc.)
· Ensure that all farm and animal procedures are followed in accordance with established policies and safety.
· Ensure poultry and livestock maintenance as needed for health and well-being.
· Stay abreast of new information and education in all areas of the farm program including hydroponics, high tunnels, crops and animal production, animal therapy.
· Serve as a resource for grounds/facilities development to include edible landscape in non-farm areas of the campus as appropriate. (etc. Plant wall, Garden Club)
· Coordinating Hoffer Farm events on and off campus, working with Farm Manager to develop a strategy for effective scheduling.

Requirements
Qualifications of Assistant Farm Manager:
· High School graduate with hands-on education in farming programs.
· Must possess previous agriculture experience with farming and animal production.
· Working with others and teams to complete projects.
