Regional Administrator

Summary/Objective:

The Regional Administrator plays a key leadership role in advancing this mission by supporting Assisted Living and Independent Living communities across Colorado.

This position partners closely with community leadership teams to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, strong financial stewardship, and exceptional resident and employee experience. The Regional Administrator is both a strategic partner and a hands-on leader, helping communities remain innovative, impactful, intentional, inviting, and interconnected and will collectively encourage and support a safe, stable, and comfortable living environment without compromising resident rights and confidentiality

Essential Functions:

Organizational Collaboration & Strategy

· Collaborate with internal departments including Operations, Clinical, Compliance, Finance, and People & Culture

· Support community transitions, acquisitions, and new initiatives

· Participate in organization-wide projects that enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness

· Support and guide Executive Directors/Administrators in day-to-day operations

· Ensure alignment with SHO’s mission, values, and service standards

· Provide onsite leadership support during transitions, vacancies, or operational challenges

· Promote consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement across communities

· Partner with leadership to drive census growth and resident retention

Regulatory Compliance, Training and Quality Assurance

· Partner with Director of Quality and Training to ensure compliance with all applicable Colorado Assisted Living regulations

· Partner with Director of Quality and Training to support survey readiness, mock surveys, and state inspections

· Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, develop, implement, and reinforce standardized regulatory training for community and leadership staff

· Provide ongoing education on state regulation changes and best practices

· Partner COO, Director of Quality and Training and community teams to develop and monitor plans of correction and quality improvement initiatives

· Conduct housing program site visits to assess compliance and operational standards

Resident Living Training & Service Excellence

· Ensure the safety and security of the residents by establishing processes and training that allow staff to quickly respond to all building-related concerns

· Develop and deliver training focused on resident-centered care, engagement, service delivery, =and quality of life in both Assisted and Independent Living settings

· Coach community leaders on best practices for resident services, programming, and hospitality

· Ensure consistency in resident experience standards across all communities

· Ensuring quality of care and safety of residents is always the top priority 

· Support teams in creating inclusive, engaging, and safe environments that promote dignity, independence, and connection

· Identify training needs related to resident care, service delivery, and engagement, and implement targeted solutions

· Champion a resident-centered approach that promotes dignity, independence, and connection

· Support resolution of resident and family concerns with empathy and responsiveness

· Will assist COO with interviewing, training, and performance evaluations of administrator and property managers 

· Plan, conduct and schedule in-service training, on-the-job training, and orientation programs to assure that staff are trained to perform duties according to expectations 

· Monitor that property managers/administrators are planning, conducting and scheduling in-service training, on-the-job training, and orientation programs to assure that staff are trained to perform duties according to expectations

People & Culture

· Coach, mentor, and develop community leadership teams

· Partner with People & Culture (HR) on recruitment, onboarding, and staff retention efforts

· Foster an inclusive, respectful workplace culture that reflects SHO’s values

· Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives

Compliance Responsibilities

· Comply with LIHTC, 4350.3, HOME and City requirements and promote Fair Housing standards to all residents

· Conduct quarterly resident file reviews to ensure compliance.

· Reviewing move in packets prior to compliance submission

· Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws concerning licensure and certification 

· Assist with obtain support service referrals for residents and ensure residents are well educated on the services and support available to them; coordinate with service providers as needed

· Ensure that Property Managers/Administrators have been trained and have a process to prepare and execute all lease documents and orientation of new residents; prepare notices of lease violations as needed.

· Conduct quarterly annual re-certification audits for each tenant in accordance with Federal-funded programs

· Adhere to all resident rights, including privacy, confidentiality, and treating residents with dignity and respect 

· Ensure compliance with all applicable Colorado Assisted Living regulations

· Provide onsite survey readiness, mock surveys, and state inspections as needed

· Develop, implement, and reinforce standardized regulatory training for community leadership and staff by partnering with the Director of Quality and Training

Requirements

  

Work Environment:

· Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs comfortably

· Comfortable using and climbing on ladders and step stools

· Certain activities may require repetitive movements including climbing, crawling, crouching, pulling, pushing

· May be subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions including blood-borne pathogens such as HIV and Hepatitis viruses

· Works beyond normal working hours, on weekends and holidays. May be called during off hours to respond to emergency or unusual situations.

· Bilingual a plus

· Strong knowledge of Colorado Assisted Living regulations

Education and Experience:

· Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook

· Experience with HUD software (Yardi) preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

· 3–5+ years of leadership experience in senior living, including Assisted Living

· Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations a plus

· Demonstrated experience in staff training, regulatory education, or quality improvement initiatives strongly preferred

· 40-hour Administrator Training

Requirements: 

· Valid Colorado license

· Minimum three (3) years prior work experience managing a HUD facility

· Colorado Assisted Living Administrator license (or ability to obtain) 

· Prior supervisory experience a must

· Multi-site oversight experience preferred

· Prior working experience with an elderly and/or disabled population

· Clean MVR

· Current Flu vaccine or medical wavier

· TB test required

Expected Hours of Work:

This role is considered full-time and works 40 hours per week. 

Schedule flexibility may be permitted, but must be available during the "core" work hours of Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Hybrid 3 day in office or on-site; 2 days remote 

Travel required across assigned Colorado communities

Flexibility to respond to operational needs, including occasional evenings or weekends.

$85,000 -$ 95,000
