Bed Care Technicians gain valuable hands-on experience and develop into future leaders at Brilar through:

  • Maintaining weed-free landscape beds 
  • Caring for trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials 
  • Safely applying pesticides in landscape areas 
  • Maintaining commercial pesticide applicator certification (company assistance provided) 
  • Communicating with the Operations Manager regarding job site and service-related issues 
  • Performing snow removal services during the winter season 
  • Ensuring work is completed safely for employees, clients, the public, and the environment 
  • Safely operating tools, vehicles, and equipment 
  • Assisting with equipment care and general maintenance 
  • Building leadership, accountability, and teamwork skills through daily field operations

Requirements
  • Valid Chauffeur’s license with acceptable driving record and DOT medical card
  • Pesticide Applicator License required (3A, 3B & 6) 
  • Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and trucks with trailers 
  • Trainable and coachable with the ability to learn new concepts quickly 
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions 
  • Availability to be on call 24/7 during the winter season months 
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position 
  • Dependable, punctual, and reliable 
  • Strong sense of accountability to both self and team 
  • Takes ownership and pride in their work
