Job Description
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, financial management, and strategic growth of the HVAC Service business within the Texas territory. This role has full responsibility for the branch’s Profit & Loss (P&L) performance and oversees all service operations, including Preventative Maintenance Agreements (PMA), demand service repairs, retrofit and special projects under $4 million, sales leadership, customer experience, employee development, and safety performance.
The GM will lead a multi-functional team, including operations, service sales, account management, field leadership, and administrative support, to drive profitable growth while delivering the ultimate customer experience.
Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive)
- Lead all day-to-day HVAC service operations across the Texas territory, including PMA, demand service, repairs, retrofit work, and special projects.
- Maintain full accountability for branch P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth, and profitability.
- Drive operational efficiency, workforce productivity, customer satisfaction, and execution consistency across service operations.
- Lead and develop operations, sales, account management, and field leadership teams to support branch growth and performance.
- Oversee HVAC service sales efforts, pipeline management, customer retention, and strategic account relationships.
- Promote a strong safety-first culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA, company, and customer safety standards.
- Support strategic growth initiatives, operational improvements, and continuous process enhancement.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, HVAC Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience within the HVAC service, mechanical contracting, or building services industry.
- Strong experience managing HVAC service operations, sales teams, financial performance, and customer relationships.
- Proven leadership, financial acumen, operational management, communication, and team-building skills.
