Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Manager to join our growing pediatric practice in Northern VA. This full-time leadership position is ideal for a clinically strong, team-oriented RN who is passionate about pediatric care, staff development, and creating a positive patient experience for children and families.


The Clinical Manager will oversee day-to-day clinical operations across our pediatric office(s), support and develop clinical staff, ensure workflow consistency and quality standards, and collaborate closely with providers and leadership to maintain safe, efficient, patient-centered care. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong clinical judgment, the ability to lead and coach teams, and a commitment to evidence-based pediatric practice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The Clinical Manager (CM) is responsible for the leadership and oversight of clinical operations and nursing staff within the pediatric practice. This role supervises licensed nurses, clinical staff, and clinical team leads while supporting high-quality, patient-centered care, workflow consistency, staff development, and operational efficiency.


The Clinical Manager serves as a key member of the leadership team and collaborates closely with the Medical Directors and Practice Administrator on clinical operations, quality improvement, patient safety, staff education, and workflow optimization.


Responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of day-to-day clinical operations and nursing workflows
  • Supervision, coaching, and support of clinical staff and team leads
  • Clinical onboarding, training, and competency validation
  • Support of evidence-based clinical practice standards
  • Participation in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Oversight of clinical supply and vaccine management processes
  • Assistance with infection prevention and compliance initiatives
  • Nursing triage support during scheduled clinic hours, as needed

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND CREDENTIALS

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current unrestricted RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience preferred, ideally in pediatrics or outpatient care
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Current CPR certification preferred
