We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team in these specific departments:
- Critical Care / Intensive Care Unit (CCU): Work in our newly expanded, state-of-the-art facility managing high-acuity intensive and progressive care patients.
- Emergency Department (ED): Provide rapid, high-quality interventions in our high-volume, fast-paced emergency center.
- Cardiac Telemetry (2 North): Monitor and care for progressive cardiac patients utilizing advanced telemetry tracking.
- Renal / Oncology (1 North): Provide specialized, compassionate inpatient care for oncology treatments and complex renal conditions.
- Medical Surg & Pediatrics (3 North): Manage a diverse caseload ranging from general pediatric admissions to adult medical-surgical overflow.
- Post-Op Surgical / Orthopedics (5 North): Support patient recovery following inpatient orthopedic surgeries and general surgical interventions.
- Operating Room (OR) & Cardiac Cath Lab: Drive specialized perioperative and interventional care alongside our surgical teams.
Compensation & Sign-On Bonuses
We appreciate the invaluable work our nursing staff performs daily. To welcome you to the Iredell Health System team, we offer highly competitive wages alongside lucrative Sign-On Bonuses for eligible positions:
- ED, CCU & OR Experienced RNs (6+ months experience): $15,000 Sign-On Bonus
- Experienced RNs (6+ months experience in other units): $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
- New Graduate RNs: $7,500 Sign-On Bonus
Core Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse prescribes nursing care, delegates nursing activities, and coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to provide optimal quality care, consistent with the hospital’s mission and nursing philosophy, objectives, and standards. Has full access to patient health information.
- Complete comprehensive physical, psychological, and social patient assessments.
- Formulate, implement, and continuously adapt evidence-based nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, blood products, and advanced clinical therapies safely.
- Coordinate directly with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, therapists, and specialists.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge health requirements and preventative care.

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in North Carolina.
- Certification in BCLS.
- Successful completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation which includes age and population specific skills for the area of practice in which the RN will be working and addresses the growth and development needs for the patients for whom the RN will be providing nursing care.
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
