We are seeking a DRIVER HELPER to join our team in San Leandro, CA! Our Helper performs an array of functions that include, but aren’t limited to, loading and unloading shipments, vaulting and un-vaulting shipments, inventory control and other general warehouse duties.

Essential Job Functions:

• Driver will perform daily safety check on vehicle, reporting any deficiencies, to ensure safe and compliant operation. (Truck provided by Berger)
• Driver, with assistance from helper, will check off and load items scheduled to be delivered on his next route. Loading with care to ensure items will not be damaged during transport.
• Driver will be responsible to use ELD (electronic Log Device) to ensure daily safety compliance. (ELD and Training will be provided)
• Driver will use the tablet throughout the day to keep track of and report status of items being delivered to our customers. (Tablet and Training will be provided)
• Driver and helper will follow Berger delivery SOP. (Training provided)
• Helper will assist driver in all the above except Driving, Safety Inspection and using ELD.

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service and communication skills. Able to follow directions.
• Able to drive 26’ straight truck (Automatic)
• Able to lift 100+ lbs.
• Must be at least 23 years of age.
• Must have clean driving record
• Must pass DOT physical and criminal background checks as well as drug test.
