Customer Service Representative
Description

The Customer Service Representative will maintain and develop customer relations, both internal and external. They will receive customer orders by phone, mail, email, fax or from sales representative. Enters product delivery into the computer system, determines and or verifies product specifications, pricing and packaging and delivery. Responds to customer’s inquiries or complaints regarding the organizations products or services. Makes periodic calls to existing customers to determine satisfaction with the organization, products and services. Determines best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to the organization’s policies. Coordinate problem resolution with appropriate departments. Informs customers of standard procedures or resolution of problem. Must be knowledgeable of the organization’s policies, procedures, practices, products and services.

  • Knowledge would normally be acquired through two years of college or business related experience
  • Possess strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrate proficiencies in MS Office products
  • Possess moderate to advance knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and other department functions
  • Flexible requiring re-prioritization of tasks within short time frames and adaptable to fast pace changing environment
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to read materials to understand and apply content, such as instruction manuals, procedure manuals, or assembly materials
  • Ability to compose or modify text to communicate basic information with little need for analysis as might be required in the preparation of simple correspondence or standard reports
  • Ability to solve problems that are frequent and unique. Work is governed by broad directions, objectives and policies. Because conditions change frequently, the incumbent must use creativity and judgment. There is considerable latitude in the decisions made.
  • Ability to make decisions and/or final recommendations which affect a department
  • Ability to complete tasks using latitude to decide what is to be done and when the work is to be completed. Results are reviewed for overall adherence to established objectives, policies or budgets
  • Ability to communicate to explain or interpret well-defined business issues or procedures, following established patterns
