About the role


An individual employed to assist in the activities of the administrator, staff, volunteers, patients and families of Hospice. This involves the performance of a variety of clerical and volunteer coordination duties as assigned.


Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
  • Responsible for on-call services, as assigned.
  • Maintains records associated with Hospice service benefits: medical equipment and supplies, pharmaceuticals, levels of service, and coordinates with the appropriate vendor or billing personnel when needed. 
  • Assists with the referral/ admission/ discharge process flows as it relates to medical records and hospice care and services.   
  • Work cooperatively and professionally with Hospice Director, Patient Care Coordinators and hospice staff in identifying and recruiting for Volunteer needs.   
  • Maintains volunteer records including but not limited to; patient visits, recruitment, onboarding, recognition and retention efforts, volunteer hours, etc.  
  • Works collaboratively with care teams regarding volunteer assignments.  
  • Maintain and support office operations including office supplies and forms, admission packets, forms, and computer/ technology support.  
  • Performs other similar duties, as needed.

Experience & Training

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Education in office administration preferred.
  • One year of experience in a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience with volunteer services preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft suite of platforms.

 Schedule

  • Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • 1.0 FTE (40 hours a week)

  • This position is fully onsite.

Pay

  • $20.51 to $22.79 an hour, based on experience. Higher pay may be considered depending on qualifications and experience.
