Supervision
The Facilitator works as a member of a team but reports to the Vocational Services Coordinator and Director of Transition and Vocational Services.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify Pre-Employment Transition Skills (Pre-ETS) work readiness curriculum for students with IEP and 504 plans
- Deliver Pre-ETS work readiness curriculum in middle and high schools
- Implement classroom management strategies and provide ongoing communication to teachers, Vocational Services Coordinator, and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor about course content and student progress
- Provide classroom and community instruction for Tri Employment and Job Preparation Programs
- Perform Community Based Work Experiences (CBWE); Job Development & Job Placement on an as needed basis
- Coordinate community assessment placements with school, student/family, and business partner.
- Provide on-site support which enables the students to learn the job tasks and integrate naturally into the business work routine. Liaison with business personnel regarding support needs of students placed, student’s work performance, and creating natural supports
- Assess student performance on-site and provide accommodations or coaching if required
- Maintain ongoing written records of the status of all assigned Pre-ETS services. Observe and record client performance and work behaviors and complete required assessment reports
- Maintain ongoing communication with Vocational Services Coordinator regarding progress of student and group services
- Work with other Project staff in meeting youth outcomes and developing services
- Submit all required reports and invoicing in a timely manner
- Other tasks as assigned by Program Director
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Associates degree in human services, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience with adolescents; knowledge of developmental, mental health, physical, and learning disabilities. Preferred experience leading groups of youth. Excellent communication skills and writing skills. Must be available to work school and non-school hours. Have a safe driving record, and be willing to transport students and clients in agency vehicles.
