Job Description:
We are currently seeking a candidate who enjoys being outdoors and providing essential public health services as a Tick and Mosquito Technician. The ideal candidate should have a passion for environmental health and be willing to obtain their state pesticide licenses if they do not already possess them. This position offers the opportunity for career advancement to year-round employment by transitioning to an Integrated Pest Management Technician.
Responsibilities:
- Comfortably work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Lift and carry a 50-pound backpack sprayer for multiple hours a day.
- Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, coworkers, and management about services performed.
- Apply pesticides to areas of harborage following all label instructions and complying with state laws and safety procedures.
- Learn about mosquito and tick biology to effectively control populations.
