Description
The Hose Doctor identifies, diagnoses, and repairs or replaces hose assemblies on hydraulic or pneumatic systems at customer jobsites. Must be available to deliver these services within a given defined operating area, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drive in a fully outfitted and stocked mobile service van/ truck to a customer worksite, then evaluate, build, and replace or repair hose or tube assemblies, upon customer owned machinery.
- Keep a daily log of activities and follow all daily job requirements.
- Be able to communicate with the customer (both written and oral communication) effectively and clearly.
- Plans and coordinates jobs with company dispatch and operations.
- Must be available to be on a rotational call 24/7 to respond to customer requests for onsite hose replacement.
- Basic Hydraulic Safety and training classes must be attended and passed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent customer service skills.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to learn and work within an ERP system.
- Maintain Parker Technician Certification is mandatory.
- Ability to pass a drug test upon hire, and/or as required by any government agencies or AHP customers who may require drug testing to perform the job duties described in here.
- Ability to obtain a medical card as required by any government agency.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds at times.
