Description

The Registration Coordinator, known internally as Registration Technician, is responsible for supporting Drivers and Agents through the creation and issuance of plates, registrations, and temporary tags. The position’s primary focus is to establish working relationships with Drivers, Agents, and other stakeholders so that registration paperwork and other required documentation can be processed quickly and efficiently to keep trucks authorized and roadworthy.


The Registration Technician plays a critical role in making sure that all trucks are properly certified in order to reduce company costs and minimize or eliminate service disruptions.


Essential Job Duties 

  • Receive, review, and organize emails, information, and paperwork from Agents to create truck plates
  • Assign BestPass where needed and as requested
  • Serve as a resource to Drivers (Owner/Operators) and Agents for questions on what is needed to get plate(s) assigned to trucks
  • Collect Form 2290 for renewal of fleet through Indiana
  • Request updated registrations for trucks that have their own plates
  • Ensure registration forms are properly entered into system and promptly filed
  • Check reports for Agents that have VIN numbers on other accounts
  • Provide follow-up on Exit Reports
  • Participate in DOT audits
  • Assist with special program projects as assigned by Director – Safety, Systems & Programs
Requirements


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer Service experience
  • Office experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Strong typing skills
  • Professional etiquette
  • Solid critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time-management and organization skills 
  • Ability to quickly pivot from one task to another and reprioritize throughout the day
  • Ability to remain calm is stressful situations
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
