We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Shipping Lead to join our Precast manufacturing team. This vital role supports the Plant Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations related to the shipment of finished products. The ideal candidate will lead the shipping crew, coordinate logistics, and uphold safety and efficiency standards to meet company goals and deliver exceptional service.
What You'll Do:
- Support the Plant Manager in staging, loading, and shipping of finished products to ensure timely delivery.
- Lead and supervise the shipping team, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high performance.
- Coordinate shipment schedules and logistics to optimize workflow and meet shipping deadlines.
- Ensure all shipping activities comply with company safety, environmental policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation and records for inventory and compliance purposes.
- Promote a safe, organized, and professional yard environment, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Assist in resolving any shipping or logistical issues promptly and effectively.
- Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance shipping efficiency and safety.

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, shipping or logistics required.
- Previous lead, supervisory or team leadership experience required.
- Knowledge of shipping, staging, and yard operations within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience operating forklifts, loaders, or other industrial equipment required.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, shipping schedules, and production documentation.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational demands.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, drivers, and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and direct employees in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Working knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety standards.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and lift throughout the workday.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dust.
· Ability to safely operate around heavy equipment, moving vehicles, and industrial machinery.
· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while in operational areas.
