As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for food preparation and presentation while being a key person of reference for team members, guests and vendors.
This position may require flexible scheduling availability.
Job Requirements:
- Be readily available and approachable for all guests.
- Ensure that departments achieve or exceed guest’s service expectations.
- Take a proactive approach when dealing with guest’s concerns.
- Assist in developing financial goals to meet or exceed within department.
- Accurately forecasts food and beverage revenue/expenses.
- Identifies major revenue and expense opportunities and possible problems.
- Ensures all hotel staff, including new hires, knows all components/features of our guest service guarantee and are trained to meet service standards; develops added value customer service programs.
- Create and distribute team member schedule in a timely manner.
- Ensure all team members adhere to culinary standards and regulations.
- Develops and implements marketing and sales plans for food and beverage outlets, including implementation of menus, package deals, promotions, displays, decorations and presentations within brand and corporate guidelines to capture more in house guests and a larger share of the local market to meet/exceed sales and financial goals and objectives.
- Maintains a positive cooperative work environment between staff and management.
- Knows local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel.
- Manage day to day operations of food and beverage outlets.
- Implement and manage all brand and IHM programs to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures; to include safety and sanitary regulation, all federal, state and local regulations to ensure optimal levels of quality service and hospitality are provided to the guest.
- Manage and maintain the sanitation of the food and beverage areas and equipment in the hotel to protect the assets, comply with regulations and ensure quality service.
- Ability to utilize POS system.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure orders are being met for all guest events and meetings.
Job Qualifications:
- Prior food and beverage supervisor experience.
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
- Excellent communication, computer and presentation skills.
- Ability to work both with a team and alone.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the Food and Beverage/Hospitality profession. This included the knowledge required for managing people, complex problems and food and beverage management.
- Valid Driver's License is preferred
