JPI is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support technical writing, editorial review, acquisition documentation, and executive communications activities for CG-DCS-9. This role supports the development and maintenance of acquisition policies, governance documentation, executive briefings, and operational communications in support of USCG acquisition programs. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and editor with experience preparing professional documentation for technical and non-technical audiences within a Federal or acquisition-focused environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop, edit, proofread, and format acquisition, technical, administrative, and executive-level documentation.  
  • Prepare reports, manuals, briefing materials, executive summaries, meeting minutes, governance documentation, and training materials.  
  • Support development of acquisition policy updates, process documentation, and operational communications.  
  • Research acquisition policies, regulations, and guidance documents to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.  
  • Edit documentation for grammar, readability, consistency, formatting, and adherence to Government standards.  
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts and Government stakeholders to gather and validate information.  
  • Support executive meeting coordination activities, including agendas, meeting minutes, and action item tracking.  
  • Assist with SharePoint content updates and document management activities.  
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed professionally and within established deadlines.  


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.  
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in technical writing, editing, communications, acquisition documentation, or related disciplines.  
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Strong editorial, proofreading, and formatting capabilities.  
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines simultaneously.  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting Federal acquisition or program management environments.  
  • Familiarity with DHS or USCG acquisition documentation standards.  
  • Experience supporting executive-level communications and governance documentation.

  JPI is hiring for several positions and will consider your application across our current and future openings. Expected compensation for this role is between 55,000-65,000, including a generous benefits package with comprehensive healthcare coverage. Please note that final compensation is dependent on a variety of factors and is reviewed regularly for both internal and external equity considerations.
