General Laborer
Description

 The General Laborer is responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks as directed by supervisors. This position supports multiple areas of operation and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new skills and trades. Successful candidates will be exposed to a variety of work environments and disciplines, including construction, sheet metal forming and installation, welding, and general fabrication activities.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, physically capable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. This role requires the ability to follow instructions, maintain organized work areas, and perform tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Use tape measures and perform accurate measurements.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools, including saws, drills, grinders, and other common construction and fabrication tools.
  • Assist with construction, fabrication, installation, and maintenance projects as assigned.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and supplies clean and properly stored.
  • Assist with material handling, transportation, loading, and unloading.
  • Complete safety inspections and follow established safety procedures.
  • Follow all company safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respiratory equipment, protective clothing, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
  • Work safely at heights when required.
  • Support team members in a variety of tasks and projects as business needs dictate.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills, trades, and responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Physically capable of performing a variety of manual labor tasks.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and reach as needed.
  • Ability to safely work from heights.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry objects weighing 25–50 pounds.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Sufficient strength, stamina, and coordination to perform physical work safely and efficiently.
