The General Laborer is responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks as directed by supervisors. This position supports multiple areas of operation and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new skills and trades. Successful candidates will be exposed to a variety of work environments and disciplines, including construction, sheet metal forming and installation, welding, and general fabrication activities.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, physically capable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. This role requires the ability to follow instructions, maintain organized work areas, and perform tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Use tape measures and perform accurate measurements.
- Safely operate hand and power tools, including saws, drills, grinders, and other common construction and fabrication tools.
- Assist with construction, fabrication, installation, and maintenance projects as assigned.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Keep tools, equipment, and supplies clean and properly stored.
- Assist with material handling, transportation, loading, and unloading.
- Complete safety inspections and follow established safety procedures.
- Follow all company safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respiratory equipment, protective clothing, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
- Work safely at heights when required.
- Support team members in a variety of tasks and projects as business needs dictate.
