Shift Lead
Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support team members during assigned shifts
  • Deliver and model outstanding customer service and resolve basic customer concerns
  • Operate and oversee cash registers, including cash handling, reconciliation, and shift reports
  • Promote and encourage customer enrollment in the Gas N Wash rewards/loyalty program
  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout assigned shift
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Assist with opening and closing duties
  • Assist with training new team members and provide ongoing support 
  • Communicate important updates to management and team members
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • 2+ year of retail, convenience store, or customer service experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependable, responsible, and team-oriented

Physical Requirements:

  •  Ability to stand for entire shift
  •  Ability to frequently lift between 5 to 20 pounds 
  •  Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  •  Ability to perform repeated bending, kneeling, twisting and overhead reaching 
  •  Ability to work in intermittent temperature, e.g., outside by the pumps and in the cooler
