Shape the Future of Finance, Not Just Report on It

Atlantic Federal Credit Union is looking for a high-impact Vice President of Finance who wants to do more than maintain financial accuracy, we’re looking for a leader who will reshape how finance drives decisions, strategy, and performance across the organization.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a role where your influence extends far beyond traditional accounting. You will sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, and leadership, helping guide enterprise-wide priorities with clear, data-driven insight while building a modern, forward-looking finance function.

If you’re energized by turning financial data into action, influencing executive decisions, and building something better than what exists today, this role is designed for you.

Why This Role is Different

  • From reporting to influencing: You won’t just close the books, you’ll help leadership decide where to invest, how to grow, and what to change.
  • Enterprise visibility: Partner directly with the CFO and senior leadership team to shape strategy and outcomes.
  • Build and evolve the function: You’ll have the autonomy to strengthen accounting, improve systems, and elevate finance as a strategic partner.
  • Real impact on performance: Your insights will directly affect profitability, productivity, and long-term growth.
  • Leadership opportunity: Lead, develop, and scale a team while influencing outcomes across the entire organization.

What You’ll Do

Drive Strategic Financial Insight

  • Translate business strategy into clear financial direction and decision support
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, including scenario modeling
  • Delivering actionable profitability insights across products, channels, and operations

Elevate Organizational Performance

  • Define and track productivity and performance benchmarks across teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost structure, and resource allocation

Ensure Financial Excellence

  • Oversee accounting operations, reporting, and compliance with precision and discipline
  • Maintain strong audit and regulatory relationships
  • Continuously improve processes, controls, and financial infrastructure

Lead and Build the Function

  • Own Finance and Accounting outcomes end-to-end
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing team
  • Create structure, clarity, and accountability within the function
  • Influence across the organization even without direct authority

What Success Looks Like

  • Leadership teams actively rely on your insights to make key decisions
  • Finance is seen as a strategic enabler, not just a reporting function
  • Financial reporting is consistently accurate, timely, and audit-ready
  • Clear improvements in profitability, productivity, and execution discipline
  • A strong, scalable finance organization ready for future growth

What You’ll Gain

  • A seat at the table with meaningful influence on company direction
  • Broad exposure across the entire organization
  • Leadership growth with real autonomy and accountability
  • A collaborative, growth-oriented culture with flexibility and support
