Job Title: Grounds Maintenance & Landscaping Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Grounds Maintenance & Landscaping Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty, health, and safety of our outdoor spaces. From routine lawn care to seasonal planting and property upkeep, your work will directly impact the first impressions of our clients and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lawn Care & Maintenance: Mow, edge, weed-eat, and fertilize lawns. Aerate and thatch turf as needed.
  • Horticulture & Plant Care: Plant, water, prune, and trim trees, shrubs, hedges, and flowers to promote healthy growth and clean aesthetics.
  • Property Cleanup: Rake leaves, clear debris, pull weeds, and maintain pristine flower beds and walkways.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain commercial landscaping equipment, including zero-turn mowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge clippers, and pruning saws.
  • Seasonal Tasks: Assist with seasonal preparation, which may include mulch installation, flower planting, winterization, and snow/ice removal (if applicable).
  • Safety & Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment before use. Follow all safety protocols, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).


Requirements

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or agricultural work is preferred but not required (we are willing to train the right candidate).
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for long periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and walking.
  • Weather Resilience: Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, light rain).
  • Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for clean lines, neat edges, and overall property presentation.
  • Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a crew.
  • Requirements: Must have reliable transportation to the job site/shop. A valid driver’s license is a plus.
