POSITION PURPOSE
The Deposit Support Analyst Temp will work under the supervision of the Manager of Deposit Operations as part of the Deposit Support Team. This position will be responsible for providing support and assistance with the day-to-day deposit operations providing deposit services and reporting functions that support the Credit Union. The goal is to deliver world class service to meet and exceed internal and external members’ needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform the basic functions of ACH reconciling and share draft exception items.
- Process address/return mail and verification
- Perform basic member service responsibilities; answering questions and e-requests, researching and resolving member issues etc.
- Perform basic electronic product maintenance and member support including VISA Credit and Debit card program, IRA accounts, ACH, ATM inquiries, and wire transfers.
- Perform basic accounting related work; cash letter preparation, certificate maintenance, overdrawn accounts, legal restraints, IRS and NYS tax levies, filing, regulatory reporting, etc.
- Perform member service responsibilities involving Visa Credit and Debit card dispute and fraud claims in accordance with Visa’s Operating Guidelines and Regulations.
- Process payrolls, return checks, ProPay transactions, etc.
- Perform responsibilities of position in accordance with federal and state regulations, credit union policies and procedures
- Cross-sell credit union products and services as appropriate.
- Recommend changes to improve workflow efficiency.
- Model and promote the behaviors of the Credit Union’s core values, actively work to enhance the member and employee experience throughout the Credit Union
- Meet Core Comp Requirements.
- Maintain effective working relations with all Credit Union departments, teams, and employees.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
KNOWLEDGE:
Minimum of 2 years prior Credit Union or Banking experience. This position requires that the employee gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work. The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience using P.C. based software including Microsoft Word and Excel.

- Must be detail orientated and well organized.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
