About the Role

As a housekeeping aide, you will maintain a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive environment, ensuring a safe and comfortable facility that supports effective patient care, positive working conditions for staff, and high levels of guest satisfaction. The housekeeper demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a positive, empathetic attitude.


How You’ll Make an Impact

Cleaning and Sanitation

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, exam rooms, restrooms, offices, storage areas, hallways, and common areas following infection control standards. 
  • Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and surface disinfection to include walls and light fixtures. 
  • Maintains equipment in a clean, orderly manner.
  • Clean and make up dismissal rooms.

Supply Management

  • Restock linens, towels, paper products, and hygiene supplies in patient and staff areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to supervisors.

Infection Control and Safety

  • Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of regular and biohazard waste.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to established guidelines
  • Collection of soiled linens

Responsiveness and Problem-Solving

  • Respond promptly to spills, contamination, and urgent cleaning situations.
  • Observe and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment malfunctions.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to read, speak and understand English.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Thorough knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitizing procedures, and infection control standards.

  • Strong communication skills for interacting with staff, supervisors and when appropriate, patients or guests.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle unexpected situations.

Position Details

Schedule: Full- Time, 36-40 hour per week position with rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50lbs. Comfortable working in fast-paced or physically demanding environments.

Equipment: Ability to use a computer, tablet and phone. Housekeeping cart, mops, brooms and dust pans, vacuums, laundry carts, and occasionally floor buffers and carpet shampoo machine.
