Bodewell Group is seeking a full-time Manager to join our Los Angeles team. This role is responsible for supporting the execution of senior leadership and client communications strategies, including developing written materials, engaging key stakeholder audiences, and contributing to business development efforts through relationship-building and identification of new opportunities. We are looking for a strong writer and strategic thinker who is eager to dive into complex communications challenges, quickly understand client needs, and develop tailored outreach strategies that deliver measurable impact. Position
Location and Travel: This person must be located within LA County. This role is primarily remote with varying expectations of visits to satellite offices and clients. Travel is required up to 15-20% of the time. This role will include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
Compensation:
The annual base amount for this position is dependent on several factors, including the candidate’s geographic location, experience, and qualifications. The annual base amount may be adjusted based on market conditions in the location where the employee resides.
A typical annual base range for this role is: $80,000– $105,000 - (actual compensation may vary by location and will follow local regulations).
Responsibilities:
- Assist with development and implementation of comprehensive communications and outreach programs through all phases of projects, from planning to construction
- Develop engaging and innovative content for social media, advertising, videos, websites, fact sheets, presentations, newsletters and other collateral
- Educate community about projects through targeted outreach and events
- Plan public meetings, open houses, workshops, special events and news conferences
- Plan and implement engaging social media campaigns and track metrics and successes
- Collaborate with Creative Department to create impactful outreach campaigns that meet client objectives and budget parameters
- Provide day-to-day supervision, motivation and mentoring of staff
- Identify and direct opportunities to expand client base, including regular networking
- Evaluate potential new business opportunities and make recommendations to Business Development team
- Oversee research on behalf of clients, including focus groups on online surveys
- Additional duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Public Administration or similar preferred
- 5+ years' experience in public relations or public outreach fields
