Summary
The SAP Specialist is responsible for supporting SAP system operations, inventory management, reporting, data integrity, and continuous process improvement across Finance and Operations. This role serves as a key resource for SAP users, ensuring system reliability, inventory accuracy, compliance with audit requirements, and efficient business processes. The position works closely with cross-functional teams and corporate headquarters to optimize SAP functionality, resolve system issues, and support operational and financial objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SAP users, providing system support, troubleshooting, training, and guidance on SAP-related processes.
- Coordinate SAP system support activities with corporate headquarters and external IT resources to ensure timely issue resolution and system performance.
- Administer and monitor SAP user access, roles, permissions, and system activities in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
- Monitor SAP-DMS interfaces, identify and investigate data transmission issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve system reliability.
- Coordinate and support monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventory counts, ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
- Prepare inventory reconciliation reports and analyze inventory variances, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Generate, maintain, and analyze operational and financial reports to support management decision-making and business performance monitoring.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities through SAP data validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Maintain master data integrity, including materials, customers, vendors, bills of material, cost centers, and other critical business data.
- Assist in evaluating, developing, and implementing process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to increase operational efficiency and workflow effectiveness.
- Support SAP process design, configuration testing, system upgrades, and implementation projects as required.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Purchasing, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure SAP processes align with business requirements.
- Support internal and external financial, tax, operational, and compliance audits by providing documentation, system reports, and process support.
- Analyze, interpret, and classify data to identify trends, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and update user procedures, process documentation, training materials, and operating instructions.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of SAP-related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of SAP ERP systems and business processes.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting SAP modules, including PP (Production Planning), SD (Sales and Distribution), MM (Materials Management), FI (Financial Accounting), and CO (Controlling).
- Strong understanding of inventory management, material transactions, and ERP data integrity principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Experience supporting audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes and industry standards is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Bilingual English and Mandarin Chinese language skills are preferred.

Physical Work Conditions
