About the Role

The Brand Storyteller is the creative voice and visual architect of our organization’s narrative. This role is responsible for crafting compelling, visually engaging, and brand-aligned content that brings our mission to life across campaigns, events, communications, and digital engagement efforts. This position bridges the gap between strategy and execution, focusing on the end-to-end design and production of a wide variety of creative assets across both print and digital mediums.


The ideal candidate is a highly creative, empathetic, and detail-oriented professional who knows how to translate an organization's "why" into captivating visuals and messaging, while maintaining absolute consistency with established brand standards.


Key Responsibilities

Visual Content Creation

  • Design and produce high-quality, story-driven creative assets. 
  • Collaborate with all teams to develop cohesive, narrative-driven visual campaigns that deeply engage our audience during events, launches, and organizational initiatives.
  • Manage multiple design and content projects simultaneously from concept to final delivery. 
  • Ensure all deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prepare print-ready files for physical production (including vendor coordination for promo items and product packaging) and optimize digital assets for websites, email marketing, and social media platforms.
  • Maintain and organize a library of digital assets, photography, and brand templates to ensure the team can scale storytelling efforts efficiently.

Narrative Content Creation

  • Update website content to reflect organizational mission and ensure a positive client experience. 
  • Coordinate with local markets to secure stories to be utilized in developing our mission narrative. 

Brand Advocacy & Stewardship

  • Serve as the guardian of the organization’s visual identity in collaboration with the Manager, Marketing.
  • Ensure all designs and copy align strictly with established brand guidelines, color palettes, typography, and messaging standards.
  • Other duties as requested.


Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in graphic design, marketing, visual communications or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with digital design/collaboration tools such as Canva
  • Excellent written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • An exceptional eye for typography, layout, and color theory, paired with strong proofreading skills and meticulous attention to file formatting.
  • Exceptional organization, prioritization, and project coordination abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to take constructive feedback, collaborate across departments, and translate high-level organizational goals into compelling visual stories.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a workstation
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds, infrequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent use of computer, phone, and other office equipment
  • Capability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and over digital platforms
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
  • Capability to work in various indoor non temperature controlled environments
  • Extended periods of walking or standing throughout the workday
  • Visual acuity to read labels and perform detailed tasks
  • Willingness to adhere to physical safety protocols

Salary Description
$72,500 - $80,000 / Annually
