Summary:
Responsible for pool and spa safety and maintenance in accordance with written instructions for Spruce Creek Golf & Country Club and compliance with the Florida Department of Health. Ensures that all support and service is conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of CAM, Management, and the Board of Directors based on the Association.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining the daily cleaning standards of the pool and spa, including vacuuming, perimeter tile brushing, and railing polishing.
- Monitors and tests the chemical balancing for the pool and spa multiple times daily to ensure compliance with State Health Department standards.
- Maintaining an accurate, detailed, concise record of testing results per the State Department of Health standards.
- Monitor and provide required maintenance of pool equipment within the pump house, such as pumps, regulators, filtration systems, heaters, etc.
- Responsible for keeping furniture, pool equipment, and supplies in their correct place and straightened during the day.
- Provide daily cleaning of the pool furniture around the pool and spa area.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Team Leads on the requirements for supply inventory, repair/replacement parts, and equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols when working with pool equipment and chemicals and properly use PPE.
- Report safety concerns to their immediate supervisor.
- Opens/closes facilities when required.
- Complete Preventative Maintenance inspections as assigned.
- Complete work orders as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Resident & Guest Interaction
- Provide courteous assistance to residents and guests, including basic instructions regarding facility use and activities.
- Offer general information regarding events and programs when approached.
- Maintain a professional, service-oriented presence in all community spaces.
Additional:
- Position involves sitting, standing, and/or movement. Position requires the ability to exert a minimal force of up to 75 pounds to carry, lift, push, pull, and otherwise move objects frequently.
- Ability to prepare and keep records.
- Physical ability to sustain movements, especially of the fingers, wrists, hands, or arms.
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers and the public.
- May work evening hours and on weekends when required.
Schedule: Tuesday thru Saturday 5:30am-10:30am
Education: High School Graduate or its equivalent, such as GED or on-the-job work experience. Must possess a valid CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification.
Experience: Six months to one year of experience in this field. Knowledge of tools, equipment, and procedures for general pool and spa maintenance is preferred but not required.
Positive Traits and Skill Set: Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and advanced communication skills are a plus. Exhibits good listening skills, an energetic personality, and a positive outlook.
