Position Overview

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor leads maintenance operations within a food and beverage manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient equipment performance. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, driving preventive and predictive maintenance programs, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and partnering with Operations to maximize equipment reliability, production throughput, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, technical expertise, and a proven track record of developing teams and improving maintenance performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance team members while managing performance, attendance, accountability, and compliance with company policies.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, GMP, GFSI, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability, efficiency, and production performance.
  • Oversee work order execution, documentation, and closure within the CMMS system.
  • Partner with Operations, Planning, and MRO teams to align maintenance priorities, manage spare parts inventory, and support production goals.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions for equipment, quality, safety, and operational issues.
  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance program compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, analyze downtime trends, and identify opportunities to improve maintenance effectiveness and OEE.
  • Ensure employee training is completed and maintained for safety, technical skills, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in daily operational meetings and communicate equipment status, maintenance priorities, and resource needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance leadership experience in food, beverage, dairy, or aseptic manufacturing; aseptic processing experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience leading teams, developing employees, and driving accountability in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, reliability improvement, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze operational data, prioritize competing demands, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
