Division Order Analyst
Description

TGNR located in downtown Houston, is hiring a Division Order Analyst to support the Upstream business. TGNR currently operates wells in East Texas and North Louisiana. This position will be a member of the Land Administration team and interact with various business units. This position will require a high level of division order experience. Responsibilities

  • Conducts extensive analysis and interpretation of Deeds, Probate Documentation, Trust  Agreements, Assignments and Title Opinions to determine ownership of minerals.
  • Obtains and interprets curative material as needed for resolving title defects and other title issues. 
  • Calculates Division of Interest to ensure timely payment of royalties. 
  • Creates Division Orders and supplemental Division Orders.
  • Maintains and updates Joint Interest Billing decks based on information received.
  • Communicates effectively within Land Admin and with counterparts on extended teams (E&P, Accounting, Marketing and Legal) and externally with owners/vendors and other customers 
  • Assists with special projects as needed 
  • Verify outside-operated Division Orders to ensure the correct decimal interest is shown.
  • Field inquiries from interest owners and act as liaison to Accounting, Lease Records, and Marketing when necessary to respond to interest owners.
  • Maintain and correct divisions of interest when payouts and recompletions occur.
  • Research suspense items for the Escheat process.
  • Assist with training and mentoring less experienced Division Order Analysts.
  • Monitor and update UMIs to reflect changes in ownership, lease agreements, and unit designations
  • Cross unit ownership management
  • Allocation well ownership management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • East Texas title experience required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Division Order work
  • Possess strong technical knowledge and analytical expertise
  • Possess ability to ensure work is accurate and completed timely with little to no supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Proficient in the use of spreadsheets for well set up, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn other computer applications 
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-discipline professionals and individuals at all levels
  • Experience with Quorum a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate patience and care in handling inquiries from interest owners
  • CDOA Certification a plus

Physical Demands and Exposures

  • Job is classified as light physical work in an office setting involving sitting, with intermittent periods of stooping, walking and standing.
  • Occasionally may be required to lift, carry, push or pull 10-25 pounds.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • May be required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
  • Candidates will be required to clear a drug screen and complete a background check, including a credit report for certain positions after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
