We're looking for a Commercial Tire Technician to join our team and provide expert tire service for commercial, medium truck, and agricultural customers. If you enjoy working both in the shop and on the road, solving problems, and helping customers get back to work safely, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As a Commercial Tire Technician II, you'll provide tire service and repair both in the service center and at customer locations using a fully equipped mobile service truck.
Commercial & Agricultural Tire Service
- Mount, dismount, repair, and replace commercial, medium truck, and agricultural tires.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
- Repair punctures, tube damage, and larger tire injuries using approved repair methods.
- Rotate tires to maximize tread life and improve vehicle performance.
- Understand tire sizing, tread patterns, wheel configurations, valve stems, and commercial tire applications.
Mobile Road Service
- Respond to roadside service calls at customer locations, including highways, construction sites, farms, barns, and industrial facilities.
- Operate a commercial boom service truck safely and efficiently.
- Maintain communication with dispatch or the service coordinator throughout each service call.
- Complete accurate documentation for all work performed.
Agricultural Tire Service
- Service tires on tractors, combines, harvesters, and other agricultural equipment.
- Safely lift and support agricultural equipment using proper procedures.
- Understand ballast systems, liquid tire sealants, and proper installation and disposal practices.
- Follow enhanced safety procedures when servicing large agricultural tires.
Equipment & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service truck.
- Inspect and maintain tools and mobile equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Deliver professional, courteous customer service on every job.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial tire, medium truck, agricultural tire, or automotive service experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license wit h an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely operate a commercial service truck.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic computer skills and experience using service or point-of-sale systems preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
- Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy tires and equipment.
