Description

Support operation by quality testing of finished products and raw materials. Support Quality and Research & Development on formulation, including scale up production, products specification, and performance testing


Major Functions and Scope:

  • Quality testing as required for incoming chemicals, raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Assist batch makers to make proper/efficient adjustment to the batch as required
  • Support daily operation including conduct root cause and corrective actions for nonconformity of products.
  • Work directly with batch maker to ensure quality compliance.
  • Perform production floor audit to ensure that the operators use correct packaging materials, date code, weigh, torque, palletize…etc.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment such as pH meter, scales, viscometers, refractometer, DSC and rheometer and other laboratory equipment.
  • Preparation and standardization of titration reagent chemicals.
  • File and maintain the archiving documentations.
  • Coordinate/Perform any additional project assigns by Manager.
  • Enter in-process SPC data in the computer


Requirements

Basic Qualifications: At a minimum of 3 year of Plant Quality experience within the manufacturing/production industry, to include: production, quality assurance, and quality control / product development.

This position does not supervise any employees.

Education and Knowledge:

• Degree in a field of science preferred.

  • Quality Control testing, lab testing, auditing.

Experience: Minimum of 3 year in plant quality assurance / quality control.

Competencies: Core competencies: Team player, attention to detail, strong verbal, and written communication skills, time management, multitasking, strong interpersonal skills. Efficient with MS Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)

Other information: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is always required to wear proper PPE and follow all safety protocols. Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, grasp by hand, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs. Use eye-hand coordination. Use close vision & peripheral vision with the ability to adjust focus. May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The work environment will result in occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and will be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
