Toledo Tool & Die is adding an Machinist to our team to support our continued growth.

• $1.50 shift premium for 2nd shift

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports our Tool & Die Makers by performing machining tasks such as milling, grinding, turning, and fitting of components used in stamping dies and tooling. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude and machining experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Operate manual and machines including mills, lathes, grinders, and saws

· Assist with building, modifying, and repairing stamping dies, jigs, and fixtures

· Read and interpret blueprints, tool drawings, and work instructions

· Hold close tolerances and perform quality checks on finished components

· Use measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators

· Work closely with Tool & Die Makers to complete projects efficiently

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment

· Communicate tooling issues and improvement suggestions to supervisors

Requirements

· High school diploma or GED required; technical training in machining preferred

· 2+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing or tool room environment

· Ability to work from prints, sketches, or verbal instructions

· Familiarity with stamping dies and precision tooling a plus

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

· Must be reliable, safety-minded, and a team player

· Experience with overhead crane and mobile equipment preferred

· Proficient with mills, drills, lathe, drill press, radial arm, and surface grinder
