Industrial Maintenance
Description

MISSION

To repair, install, adjust, assemble, or maintain industrial equipment necessary for retread production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provide preventive maintenance on all machinery in the retread plant on required schedules
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment
  • Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs
  • Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery
  • Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear
  • Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems
  • Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary
  • Adhere to lock out/tag out and all other OSHA-required maintenance rules
  • Maintain standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of maintenance area.

  • Regular attendance in accordance with assigned schedule
  • Ability to perform physical requirements as listed in job description 
  • Other essential and non-essential duties, as assigned by management


Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Education: Associate's Degree or Trade School
  • Minimum Job-Specific Experience: 3-5 years
  • Management Experience: N/A
  • Driver’s License Required: No
  • Other Job-Specific Licenses or Certifications Required: Certifications in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical and air systems

  • Equipment Maintenance — Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings — Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
  • Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material — Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  • Performing General Physical Activities — Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  • Plant Systems – hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, compressed air
  • Welding – skill with all types of welding
