Frontier Direct is a Texas-based direct primary care company delivering integrated care through proprietary technology. The company operates in a value-based care model serving self-insured employers, combining clinical delivery with a vertically integrated platform that handles member engagement, provider workflows, billing reconciliation, and medical review automation — positioning for scale to 120,000+ lives while building measurable ROI systems for sponsor retention and institutional capital readiness.
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will drive day-to-day quality strategy and automation execution for Frontier's clinical and operational platform and own the quality assurance interface between engineering and stakeholders — designing comprehensive test plans, building scalable automation frameworks, and ensuring software quality throughout the SDLC. This is a key quality advocate role within an engineering organization operating in a regulated healthcare environment where HIPAA compliance and SOC 2 control requirements are first-class concerns, not afterthoughts.

- Compliance-Aware Testing: Design test scenarios that account for PHI handling, access controls, and audit logging requirements aligned with HIPAA and SOC 2 Type II controls; support audit evidence collection as needed
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects through resolution; partner with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes
- Quality Advocacy: Participate in sprint ceremonies, contribute to story refinement with a quality lens, and champion shift-left testing practices across the team
