Description

SUMMARY 

Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's inventory control processes. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate counts, managing employee turnover, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), and contributing to the profitability and efficiency of the organization.  

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead and manage the Cycle Count and Direct Count Team.  
  • Ensure timely and accurate inventory counts through effective coordination and supervision.  
  • Collaborate with Business Operations Leadership on reconciliation, inventory forensics, and reporting against the Cycle Count Program.  
  • Implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain a skilled and motivated inventory control team.  
  • Address employee turnover issues promptly and proactively to maintain a stable and efficient workforce.  
  • Develop, monitor, and manage both internal and external KPIs related to inventory control.  
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to achieve and exceed established targets.  
  • Manage inventory control activities within budgetary constraints and contribute to overall Profit and Loss (P&L) goals.  
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements to enhance the financial performance of the inventory control function.  
  • Provide strategic guidance to optimize inventory control processes for efficiency, growth, and profitability.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align inventory control strategies with the broader organizational goals.  
  • Enforce and uphold safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements. Regularly observes, coaches and reviews employees’ performance in regard to safety, accuracy, and results.   
  • Implement safety protocols and measures to minimize workplace incidents.  
  • Provide strategic guidance towards operational efficiency, growth, and profitability.  
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.  
  • Identify and coach up high potential individuals to be subject matter experts in areas of warehouse management.  

Food Safety  

Responsible and required to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues; and empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work. If this position is vacant for any significant period of time the obligation for completion of all food safety and quality related tasks will become the responsibility of the direct manager or a qualified designee.

Education: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field and 5 years’ experience in inventory control, logistics, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Certificates and Licenses:

Forklift certification preferred.

Skills/ Knowledge:

Completes objectives through supervisors or managers or senior exempt specialists who have significant latitude. Work is reviewed based on meeting quality, schedules, and efficiency standards. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

Computer Skills:  

The ability to work effectively in a Microsoft Windows environment (Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal software programs).
