The ALC is a therapeutic special education school for children facing educational, emotional, and behavioral challenges serving children in small class sizes with a maximum number of 80 children.
Responsibilities:
- Create a welcoming classroom where children are eager to return to learn each day.
- Delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and ignite learning.
- Master the art of classroom management, ensuring every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.
- Document student progress and communicate with parents (because teamwork extends beyond the classroom!).
- Work with outside providers to enhance the student’s learning experience.

· Initial/Permanent NYSED Special Education Teacher certification.
· BA/MS Experience preferred.
