Position: Maintenance Technician and Grounds Technician

Location: Providence Glen Apartments - Columbus, OH

Scheduled hours: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with an on-call rotation (maintenance tech only)

Competitive pay: MAINTENANCE TECH: $20-25 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Competitive pay: GROUNDS TECH: $18-22 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

  • Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, lighting, locks/keys, pool care, and groundskeeping tasks
  • Handle apartment turnovers, preparing homes for new residents
  • Complete work orders quickly and with high-quality results
  • Address emergencies as situations arise or while on-call 

Bring Your Skills

If you’re a hands-on problem solver who enjoys variety and takes pride in delivering excellent service, this role will put your skills to work every day.

  • 1 year of experience in multi-family residential maintenance
  • Experienced Turnover Technician – versed in all aspects of apartment turns and servicing
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, lighting, and grounds
  • Strong customer service skills with a cheerful outlook when assisting residents
  • Ability to work independently while staying efficient and thorough
  • Basic computer and smartphone skills
  • Must have basic hand tools, valid driver’s license, reliable truck/van, and auto-insurance
  • Willing to complete a drug and background check if offered the position


Make an Impact 

As a Grounds Technician, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our community:

  • Maintain property appearance with trash pickup, power washing, light grounds care, snow removal assistance, and minor repairs (painting, pool area upkeep, furniture removal)
  • Care for landscaping by planting, fertilizing, and watering trees, flowers, and shrubs
  • Oversee pet area upkeep and restock supplies at dog stations
  • Assist residents with outdoor concerns and report maintenance issues
  • Complete light to moderate work orders and maintain pool chemical levels
  • After-hours only required as needed for emergencies

Bring Your Skills 

You take pride in creating and maintaining beautiful, well-kept outdoor spaces. You enjoy hands-on work, value teamwork, and thrive in an environment where every day brings something new. You have:

  • 1 year of experience in groundskeeping or property maintenance
  • Landscaping experience (planting, fertilizing, watering trees, grass, flowers, shrubs)
  • The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to complete a background and drug screening if offered the role
