Description

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Front Desk:

Answer incoming telephone calls

Check-in/out patients & verify insurance for clean claim

Process payments/copays

Print out daily batches & give to manager

Print our daily faxes and scan into patients’ charts 

Confirm patient appointments

Communicate with Manager on issues, updates, schedule changes

Successfully complete EPIC training


Medical Assistant: 

Scheduling/Rescheduling Appointments

Taking vitals and rooming patients

Preparing patient for exams and/or procedures Insurance 

Authorizations and Referral Entry

Scheduling/Rescheduling Appointments

Maintaining medical supplies and inventory for rooms

Data entry into Electronic Health Record (EPIC)

Successfully complete EPIC training


Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

Must be MA Certified 

Experience as a Scribe

Medical terminology

Excellent verbal, written and computer skills

Electronic Health Record (EPIC) 

Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

· Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)

· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

· 2 years’ experience in the medical field desired

· High school diploma or GED required
