Position Summary

The Audiologist provides comprehensive audiological evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and hearing conservation services for pediatric and adult patients. This role offers the opportunity to utilize the full range of audiological skills and clinical expertise while helping patients achieve better hearing, communication, and overall health outcomes.

The Audiologist will assess hearing and balance disorders, recommend and manage amplification technology, provide counseling and education, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.

Essential Responsibilities

Comprehensive Audiological Evaluation & Diagnosis

• Conduct diagnostic audiological assessments for pediatric and adult patients
• Perform pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, otoacoustic emissions (OAE), auditory brainstem response      (ABR), and vestibular assessments as appropriate
• Interpret results and communicate findings clearly to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers
• Identify hearing loss, tinnitus, auditory processing disorders, vestibular dysfunction, and related conditions

Treatment & Rehabilitation

• Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
• Recommend, fit, program, verify, and troubleshoot hearing aids and assistive listening devices
• Provide patient and family counseling regarding hearing loss, communication strategies, hearing conservation, and device      management
• Monitor outcomes and adjust treatment plans to support optimal patient success

Pediatric Hearing Healthcare

• Perform age-appropriate hearing assessments for infants, children, and adolescents
• Participate in newborn hearing screening follow-up and early intervention services
• Collaborate with families, educators, speech-language pathologists, and medical providers to support communication development
• Educate families regarding hearing loss, amplification options, and intervention strategies

Adult & Geriatric Services

• Evaluate and manage hearing and balance disorders in adult and aging populations
• Conduct hearing aid evaluations, fittings, and follow-up appointments
• Provide counseling on communication strategies, hearing protection, and auditory rehabilitation

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain timely, accurate, and complete electronic medical records
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare reports and recommendations for referring providers and care teams

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

• Work closely with primary care providers, specialists, therapists, educators, and community partners
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and organizational programs
• Stay current with advances in audiology, hearing technology, and evidence-based care

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited program. 
• Current state licensure as an Audiologist or eligibility for licensure. 
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred, if applicable. 
• Experience providing services to both pediatric and adult populations preferred. 
• Knowledge of hearing aid technology, diagnostic procedures, and auditory rehabilitation techniques. 
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pediatric diagnostic testing and early intervention services. 
• Experience with vestibular assessment and treatment. 
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. 
• Bilingual language skills are a plus. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the workday. 
• Ability to operate audiological testing equipment and computer systems.
