Oracle DBA
Description
  • Developing, documenting, and maintaining the technical and conceptual specifications in support of the overall program database designs
  • Support the Operational Data Store (ODS)/Enterprise Data Warehouse team to support FEMA ODS for storing increased capacity requirements.
  •  Include O&M of the data interfaces with other systems (i.e., IFMIS).
  • Supporting the design, development and ongoing operations of the FEMA applications database, tools and environments;
  • Experience with PLSQL/packages.
  • Supporting the development, testing and CM teams for Functional/Security and Performance Testing, code packaging and code migration to various Test and Production environments.
  • Support and understanding of multiple databases.
  • Working closely with other DBAs, application administrators, developers, and testers to improve system performance, data quality, define requirements and develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Working to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet program goals and deliverable objectives.
  • Other tasks and activities as assigned or directed by the Program Manager.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen for DHS Suitability clearance.
  • BA/BS degree and 10 years of related experience.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA.
  • Proven experience installing, configuring, tuning, patching and upgrading Oracle on Solaris & Linux.
  • Proven experience with Oracle/SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle Superclusters.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 19c and Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and have SQL Scripting and PL/SQL experience.
  • Knowledge of Oracle advanced security concepts is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of Oracle SQL or PL/SQL development experience.
  • Experience with High-Availability and Disaster Recovery architecture and configuration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownership.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, demonstrate strong problem solving skills and is successful when working in Integrated Product Teams.
  • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and coordinate multiple, dynamic and competing priorities.
  • Proven mastery of troubleshooting techniques and the ability to solve problems quickly.
  • Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional helpful but not required.
