The Material Handler will be responsible for transporting materials, supplies, and products to designated locations.
Role and Responsibilities
· Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished products for final distribution.
· Operate manual and/or powered pallet jacks and other material handling equipment in a safe manner.
· Accurately move, scan, count, and record materials to maintain inventory integrity.
· Receive raw materials and packaging supplies and stage them for production use.
· Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
· Observe and maintain company sanitation and food safety standards.
· Report damaged products, packaging defects, food safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies immediately.
· Follow all rules / guidelines / GMP’s. (Good Manufacturing Practices)
· Performs other related duties as assigned to support production, warehouse, and operational needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED Certificate
· Previous experience in a food production environment is helpful
· Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, USDA, and food safety requirements is preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The work environment is a cold production setting with concrete floors and frequent exposure to refrigerated and freezer environments.
This position requires the team member to:
· Stand in sub-zero temperatures for seven (7) or more hours in a day
· Handle cold and wet product throughout the day
· Able to lift to 50 lbs. several times a day and occasionally 70 lbs.
· Visually identify and evaluate product
· Push and pull carts weighing up to 500 lbs., with assistance when required.
· Repetitive motions of hands and arms. Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements, including occasional overhead reaching.
· May work in aisles or narrow passageways
Food Safety
