The Quality Team Lead is responsible for coordinating quality-related activities and supporting daily material processing operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with customer and company requirements. This role provides leadership and direction to team members while promoting a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
The Quality Team Lead serves as a key resource within the operation by monitoring material flow, ensuring adherence to standard work procedures, supporting inventory accuracy, and maintaining compliance with quality standards throughout the assigned area.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and support team members in the execution of daily quality and material processing activities
- Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient processing of materials within the assigned operational area
- Promote and enforce compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company procedures
- Monitor quality standards and ensure products and processes meet customer requirements
- Train, coach, and support associates on standard work instructions and operational procedures
- Identify, document, and report quality concerns, material discrepancies, damages, or process deviations
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities to prevent recurring issues
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, filing systems, and operational reports
- Ensure compliance with 5S standards and maintain an organized work environment
- Encourage employee participation in continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives
- Support inventory audits and year-end inventory activities as required
- Coordinate material flow activities to support production schedules and operational requirements
- Follow emergency response procedures and support workplace safety initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in quality, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics operations preferred
- Leadership or team lead experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Basic computer skills and experience with data entry preferred
- Ability to identify and communicate process deviations and quality concerns
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a warehouse and logistics environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift
- Exposure to moving equipment, warehouse traffic, and elevated noise levels
- Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on the shop floor
- Must be able to lift and move containers weighing up to 33 pounds
- May be required to support inventory activities, audits, and operational projects outside normal duties
