Description
Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment, including but not limited to the following: bulldozer, backhoe, SkyTrack, mini excavator, skid steer, trackhoe and maintainer.
Responsibilities
- Complete all maintenance jobs that require the use of heavy equipment, such as changing out culverts, road repair, cleaning out cattle guards, digging up leaks, digging up lines to add jumper lines, checking chokes, and other large jobs
- Remove lines for P&A’s as required by the Railroad Commission
- Maintain plants and facility locations/roads
- Maintain Backhoes, forklift and trailers as needed
- Help Lease operators with small projects
- Maintain and clean crew truck and tools
- Do all required computer work and reports
- Work safely and productively
Requirements
- Prior heavy equipment experience is required
- Previous oilfield experience in a maintenance position required
- Valid CDL is required
- Needs the ability to work independently without a lot of direct supervision
- Work within a team environment
- Goal driven/forward thinking
- Ability to learn and retain task knowledge
- A steady work history and strong work-ethic
- Competency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Physical Demands and Exposures
- Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
- Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to individually lift: Maximum 50 lbs.
- Possible exposures to gas/ liquid hydrocarbons and salt water.
